Warp: Deer leather. Weft: Artificial sinew. Beads: Polymer.

Description:

Wampum belt consist of 10 broad, black diagonals (7 beads wide) and 10 white diagonals (8 beads wide). Photographed by Beauchamp in 1899 at the Six Nations council at Ohsweken, Canada. Ends are restored on the reproduction belt.

After John Buck's death most of the fine collection of Canadian belts quickly disappeared.
